Booked 3 rooms for family to stay. Rooms were spacious and clean. Sunday dinner was amazing and shouldn’t be missed. Would recommended

Absolutely terrible. Don’t bother. We came here a couple of years ago for a Sunday roast and it was absolutely rammed with people and the service and food was great. We tried this place again today and we found out why on a Sunday at peak time why it was virtually deserted. Terrible service and terrible food! We ordered as a party of 3, 2 meals came out first the 3rd was delayed by 5 mins so we sent the first 2 meals to go back to keep warm while they prepared the other meal. The one meal needed to be reheated further and the delayed lasagne meal was actually overdone, dry and burnt!! The chips were undercooked and the gravy literally was water thin! They also forgot the Yorkshire puddings and extra ciabatta bread which we had to remind them about. We weren’t asked about allergies or if our food was ok during the meal. A lot of the food was just left. Eventually someone came to see us and we explained the about the chips and lasagne and said the reheated meal was rubbery. They took off the price for the lasagne and chips but nothing on the rubbery meal. We said we were not happy and were handed the bill. We were kept waiting by around 15 mins for someone to come and take payment for the bill which just made things a lot worse. We just wanted to get out of there and go elsewhere. Terrible all around. Poor service, too many mistakes, low quality food and the complaint just wasn’t handled adequately at all. We certainly won’t be returning.

Me and my partner visited for food and the experience wasn't as amazing as it has been before. When we arrived we were quickly seated by a lovely gentleman. We waited 10/15 minutes to order drinks and in our order we asked for a jug of water which never arrived with our drinks. When we ordered our food, again we asked for some water. Again no jug of water in sight. The staff behind the bar were very loud and the conversations, I don't believe should be a public conversation. When our food arrived, we again asked for a jug of water, which again never arrived. I went up to the bar to get some water where I could hear the gentleman behind the bar huffing and puffing. Once we had finished our food, we were still sat at the table with plates until we left 20-30 minutes later. The plates were still infront of us when we paid our bill and got ready to leave. We did actually want dessert but our table was avoided. On a positive note the food tasted great and the waiting times for the food was short. Their lasange is amazing! Highly recommended! Chips were lovely and salad was fresh!

First time here for food and first off the staff. We’re great. Food good but I’ve had better. Lovely summers night in beer gardner spoilt by a group of men half cut. Very load and very bad language. Not ideal for a family meal out.
