The Royal Oak - Shropshire

My daughter was given a faulty key at this establishment, which prevented her from entering the premises and her room. After paying £70, she had to rely on a friend's family to provide her with a bed for the night. The next morning, she still couldn't access her room as the hotel was unresponsive. I was unable to confirm if my daughter was safe, especially during the night of the London Bridge attacks. Despite my attempts to contact the hotel, I was hung up on and my daughter was left outside struggling to get in. While the room may have been nice, the lack of customer care in this situation was appalling.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this restaurant and would have extended if my schedule permitted. The establishment recently changed ownership and was undergoing renovations, which meant there was no kitchen available for breakfast. However, I was upgraded for the inconvenience. The hosts were absolutely delightful and the place was very clean. Despite being located above an inn and near a main road, it was surprisingly quiet for someone accustomed to rural life. The shower had good pressure and there was a large TV in the room. Onsite parking was a bonus. The walk along the river to the town centre was short and pleasant. The pricing was fair and I would definitely stay at this hidden gem again if I were in the area.

I was recommended this restaurant by the place I was staying at, and it was definitely worth the trip to this charming village. The staff gave us a very warm welcome at this traditional village pub with a real fire. The food was of a very high standard, comparable to a restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

I visited this pub with a friend out on a walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had food and some delicious beer. On a very sunny day, the pub attracted both locals and visitors. No negative issues at all. I would go back to this pub.

Went to this nice little pub on the Ladies Darts Night, the atmosphere was good with lots of friendly banter amongst the locals however the range of beers was very limited and when I spotted the Mild on tap I asked for a Light Mild However, much to my surprise the Landlord said he had never heard of a Light Mild! I ended up drinking Guinness, which was okay but the next day I found the Bird in Hand on the over side of the street served Timothy Taylor's needless to say I have not returned to The Royal Oak since.
