The Red Lion - Shrewsbury

This is a fantastic little local pub. There's free parking available, which is a plus. The food was very tasty and offered great value for money. The staff were friendly and checked in to ensure everything with the meal was satisfactory.

Six of us, three couples, dined out on Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated at a large table near a cozy wood burner. The young waitress was excellent throughout the evening, being attentive without being overbearing. Four of us ordered the Godfather dish, which was fantastic, while the other two enjoyed the garlic mushrooms, also delicious. For the main courses, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and the chips were just right. The Cajun and fajita dishes were also well received. The gammon was good, though slightly overcooked. We polished off some desserts to cap off a lovely evening. The highlight of the night was the cheerful and engaging girl at the bar who made sure we were well taken care of. Overall, it was a great night out, and I highly recommend this place!
