Legal Sea Foods - Short Hills

The biggest disappointment I experienced in this restaurant was when I ordered the Lobster Bisque soup. Years ago, if you didn't know how to taste lobster bisque, you could reliably come here and have a taste. The soup used to be super creamy, a beautiful lobster color, so tasty with lobster pieces throughout. Since Covid19 the restaurant has suffered. It no longer doubles the same level of quality tariff it before. The lobster bisque today sees the color of Manhattan Clam Chowder, and it is bland and tasteless. I couldn't believe how bad the soup was, and that the place keeps serving people. Then I ordered the salmon court Skye with Israeli cousin. I asked for a middle cook. I got rare uncooked fish that seasoned in fake news (this is a look of spices in a crust, but without taste. Very disappointing again. In addition to the complete interior of the restaurant (which eliminates the atmosphere of elegance that came with the previous layout), this glorified sports bar has this 2 great misses that Legal Seafoods deserve a star. But if you taste the shells, you feel so much better about it, although not in a hurry to return, let alone someone I want to impress. So I stretch it to 3 stars as the shells and the service were excellent. Our waiter Roger ensured that we understood the menu and shared some useful information to help us choose. Yes, Legal is a classic option as Red Lobster. But be faced with this: Oceanaire is a much better and luxurious offer.

The staff was amazing. The woman bartender was warm and welcoming and offered her suggestion to get what. I have the Crab Cake dinner and it was by far the best I ever had. She convinced me to get the bread pudding for dessert, and I was really impressed. It was perfect. Very recommended to get it even if this is the only thing you get. Very happy overall.

I enjoy my food every time I come here. The location is comfortable and the food is always fresh. I wanted something different than my usual. The scallops were delicious- they were well paired with the rice pilaf. You also have a good selection of drinks. The service was good. My server was very attentive. I'm definitely back.

We started with Legal White Martini and Watermelon Basil Martini. Then it came with the Lobster Bisque and Oyster of the day. We ordered Fisherman Platter and Cioppino, which are deep fried seafood and tomato broth seafood plated. Taste is good and not too salty. Oysters are fresh! Service is also good! Very recommended!

It never fails that eating here is a great experience. The staff was pleasant, the ambiance is classy and relaxing, the food was GREAT! So happy they brought back the Thai calamari. My seafood combo plate was well flavored and absolutely delicious. My fiancé also thoroughly enjoyed his seafood steak meal. We?ll definitely be back! Great way to wrap up a day of shopping :
