Aussie Bob's Fish & Chips - SHOAL BAY

The service was fantastic and the fish and chips were delicious. We would definitely come back! We were about to share some with our child when the staff quickly brought out plates, knives, and forks. The fish in batter was cooked perfectly.

The fish and chips at this restaurant are fantastic. We ordered the battered barramundi, which was moist and came in a thick, light batter. The portion of chips was quite large for two people, but they were crispy and not greasy at all. This meal was great value and I would highly recommend dining here.

Despite the mixed reviews, we are delighted that we decided to give Aussie Bobs a try. There were six of us dining, and we spent just under $100. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including fish, prawns, calamari, seafood sticks, chips, a burger, and a green salad, all accompanied by the delicious homemade tartare sauce. The prawns were a highlight - fresh and flavorful. If you're a prawn lover, be sure not to miss out on these tasty treats.

Our first call at Nelson Bay BUBS on the wharf.....OK but expensive, small portion size........Aussie Bob,s has huge portions at about half the price, quick service, you can eat in the outdoor garden or takeaway....large menu of all FISH Prawns etc plus burgers.

Found this place while we were on holidays. Chips were tasty and crunchy. We enjoyed 2 large serves of delicious flathead and battered prawns. Service was quick and friendly. You can eat in their undercover area.
