New Asian Village - Sherwood Park

We went last weekend to this restaurant to try their buffet. We got there early and the place was empty but the buffet was ready to go. The various offerings were hot fresh and very tasty. There were too many to remember but chicken curry stood out along with the yummy naan bread. We will be back.

We had a groupon and came on a Sunday night. While the service is not overly friendly, the buffet was wonderful. We are pretty picky with our Indian food and find most places do. It make it spicy enough. Here it was! Delicious options included our favorites: chana masala, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, aloo gobi, naan, etc. The restaurant was lovely and had lots of booths. Washrooms were clean. We will definitely return.

We were treated to dinner at the restaurant by our daughter and son in law. The food was hot and delicious. It is a buffet style restaurant with lots of choices. The food was constantly being replenished. The cold selections, salads and things, were equally diverse. Had a great time there and we are planning to go back next time we are in Edmonton.

This was our 2nd visit to this location and both times we had a groupon which was good value. Even without a discount we would go back since the food was good and the restaurant has a new décor and is quite comfortable. The place was quite busy when we wet and despite this they kept the counters by the buffet quite clean and when something ran out it didn’t take long for it to be replenish. The butter chicken and naan bread are especially good and when they were out of the garlic naan I asked how long it would take to have more and the gentlemen said he would bring a small basket to our table which was quite nice of him. On the dessert side the mango custard, rice pudding, and the gulab jamun were all quite good. The one thing is that our server was a bit slow at refilling water and taking plates away but it’s not a huge deal for us. Overall this is a good place to get a good variety of Indian dishes.

I have had the buffet here several times. Staff are usually attentive and food is fresh. I sense that too much oil is used in their cooking but the food is great. I love Indian food. If not choosing the buffet you might find restaurant menu items a little pricey. I believe there is also a lunch buffet which may be a little less expensive than the evening buffet with a few less choices? They had an electrical fire late in 2016. The restaurant was consequently renovated and is nicely decorated and freshened up... Booths or tables available. Free parking. Vegetarian choices.
