Przekaż informację zwrotnąUpdate April 2022. Little hard to locate unless you know via word of mouth that Maggie's relocated to New Asian Village. Granted, if you're actually in Sherwood Park regularly, you might of noticed the signs on the New Asian Village building. Still great pierogies and decently filling meal for the price. However, now you have the choice of ordering from Maggie's menu as well as New Asian Village Tandoori fried chicken. Cool that so many local options are at one place. As this was a last minute decision for take out, I didn't think to call ahead (and if I did, I'm not sure if the number listed on here would of got my order made any faster). However, it's quick to order inside and you can wait on the benches at the front of the restaurant or in your vehicle. As I was parked close to the door, a lovely lady brought my take out to my vehicle otherwise she would of asked for me to return inside to grab it once ready. I really appreciated that offer as I opted to sit in my vehicle to keep the sore back cozy on the heated seat during the crazy snowy April weather. Also, be forewarned that like in the past location, the time to get your food for take out is still a lengthy wait as it's cooked for the order. Reading my past review made me wonder if there's still dessert pierogies that one can buy (even if only frozen). I forgot to ask while at the restaurant. So I'll have to investigate that another day. Meals ordered were with pierogies that had potato cheese, dill potato and butter chicken (pierogies only). Everything was tasty and the pierogies disappeared quickly into my mouth just like every other time I've enjoyed them. My friend commented that they're still here favourite too. One can order variations of meals but we both wanted to have kubasa. I do have to say I was a bit disappointed that the butter chicken pierogies was only covered in sauce and did not have chicken within the sauce nor in the pierogies (tasted like the flavour was potato cheese). I'm hoping next time when I try the samosa pierogies that will be a much better feature experience as this one left me feeling like I was missing the full taste experience. Also, the sauce was very mild even for butter chicken standards which puzzled me being that it's made in the same kitchen with the tasty butter chicken that is served for New Asian Village menu. I'm very glad this little gem is surviving the pandemic challenges. I'm sure it was a tough choice to transition but I think by working with another well established restaurant, this is sure to help increase the amount of people discovering this wonderful food option. I'll be planning to eat in the restaurant another day when I'm feeling more up for a full combo of menus to share a tasting experience. Also this partnership now gives the opportunity for me to enjoy Indian food with friends that would want other options to eat due to dietary restrictions or generally prefer to avoid all things spice.
These are the best pierogies we have ever hadWe tried them for the first time and we are hookedThe outer shell is perfect and the inside is melt-in-your-mouth-deliciousnessThey are so full of flavour and we honestly cannot wait to have some moreThank you for creating such delightful pockets of happiness for our tummies?
I love this place! The pierogies and cabbage rolls are amazing! I’ve been here many times and it has always been delicious. It takes a bit of time to get your food as things are prepared fresh when you order.
Food service is less then 1 star. I have been here 2 times the lady working, could be the owner (brown hair wearing glasses) was very rude both times. First time I just walked out without even ordering because she was so unfriendly. Decided to give it another chance. Came back same lady I ordered was still rude but I thought the food would be worth it. These perogies are absolutely disgusting. Flavourless, the outside is straight up dough, filling is not good either. Very plain. You must pay extra for any sour cream, bacon onion. They serve you dough with nothing on it, very odd. I ordered the food to go ate one perogie and threw it in the garbage. Do not waste your money here. Will never return ever.
Looks really good here and im sure the food is phenomenal. just super sad cause it said they were open today and i came back twice while i was running around the city and they were closed all day for some reason hope everything is ok. i will be back one day to try cause it looks delicious!
