Osprey Bar Lounge

Mike was our waiter. His attentiveness and service was top notch. He also had a sense of humor. Wished that the hostess would have carried our drinks from the bar to our table, as our reservation wasn't ready.

We don't need another upscale restaurant here. The prices were NY prices, which we are used to, but for other folks, might seem high. The food was good, but not extraordinary. We miss The Tavern, which this replaced. The servers were pleasant, the wine list quite comprehensive, but I'm not sure this will become a Shelter Island favorite dining destination .

Had a great experience for a Sunday night meal. Seemed like it was an off-peak time as the place was not full, so that may have worked to our advantage. It was nice and quiet out on the porch where we ate and our dinner was delicious. I apologize to our waiter as his name escapes me, but he was great (he likes to fish but doesn't eat fish, so he knows who he is). Read some of the mediocre reviews before going, but we had no issues. Definitely recommend and will go back, but understand that such a good meal comes with an east end price.

The ambiance was pleasant and the service was good, but the prices were high. Dining on Islands always tends to be expensive.

The steak for two was outstanding, as was the tuna tartare. The only issue was that the restaurant could have used more than 2 servers, even though it wasn't very busy. Overall, a fantastic choice for upscale dining on Shelter Island.
