Fred's Pizzeria - Shelby Township

My family frequently orders from this pizzeria, and we always have a wonderful experience with both the service and the food. Their cheese and pepperoni pizza is consistently delicious. The owner, Fred, is always friendly and engages well with customers, making him a valued member of the community. His staff is also affable and enjoyable to interact with.

Pizza? It's great. Deli Turnovers? If I were on death row, they'd be my last meal. They're an instant classic—I always buy them in pairs so I can savor one and share the other with the first person I see. No exaggeration. This place stands out; I’ve tried the Jetzee, the Boat, and everything else. Fred's knows how to do it right. I understand that some reviewers have had their concerns, but once you try a deli turnover, you’ll realize everything else is easily forgiven. Here's a little secret: order a French Dip deli turnover, ask for barbecue sauce on top after it comes out of the oven, and get a side of mayo. It’s a delicacy, though you'll probably risk some heart issues if you make this a weekly habit. Still, give it a shot—you won’t regret it!

This restaurant is just average, in my opinion—similar to any other Jet's or Papa Romano's. I was a bit let down by the amount of cheese on their cheese bread; I expected more. Additionally, they seemed understaffed, as the wait time was almost twice what they had estimated. However, the food was decent enough, so it wasn't too bad overall.

Fred's has quickly become our go-to lunch spot at work. Although I haven't tried the regular pizza yet, the Chicago-style pizza and all the subs are simply fantastic. This is definitely the best pizza in the area! The service is also very friendly.

I ordered a small old-fashioned pepperoni square and an Italian sub. The sub is massive! The pizza has 6 slices and appears to be Detroit-style. It’s definitely enough to share between two people. The delivery guy was very friendly and arrived earlier than I anticipated.
