El Sotano - Shelburne Falls

I waited for a review until my third visit. My first visit was amazing, Claire was a wonderfully attentive waitress and the food was brilliant. When I asked for a Cadillac Margarita, the bartender does not even flinch and he delivered on my favorite drink with style. We tried 4 different tacos (Hühner Tinga, Chorizo, Barbaco, and Teriyaki, it was a special) and everyone was amazing. During our second visit we brought some friends and had again a wonderful attentive waitress and a qualified bartender who could deliver on the request of a Cadillac Margarita. We tried the Burrito (barbacoa), Enchiladas (barbacoa), Guacamole and for Tacos the Papas, Fish and Barbacoa; everything was amazing. During our last and last visit we had Claire back as a waitress and she was as attentive and helpful as the last time. We tried the El Pastor and Carnitas Tacos this time and again had an amazing meal. The bartender was also on point and mixed a big margarita. The consistency has now made this place one of my choices for lunch or dinner. We recommend that you check the hours as they still adapt them to the customer's requirements.

Visit for lunch and would definitely go back! In addition to the delicious chips and salsa we have tried four Tacos El Pastor, Chorizo, Papas and Chicken. For all veggie lovers out there the Papas taco was one of our favorites! The waitress was great and the friendly cook also came out to say hi. An stellar atmosphere in the centre of a beautiful city.

We enjoyed everything here when we stopped for a light lunch on a Saturday motorcycle ride. I had Tacos al Pastor $3,75 per), and the pig was cooked directly with a rich, dark taste full of Umami. The tortillas for the tacos and chips and salsa $5) are produced locally, and the latter came with generous portions of both red and green salsas. They had a staff problem the day we were, but the one waiter soldier arrived and as soon as our order was taken, the food quickly appeared. There are many parking spaces back in the municipality and Shelburne Falls is a beautiful place to go around.

My friends and I had the best experience here. The margaritas were great, bartender was great, and the tacos could be the best I ever had! The city was SO CUTE and I can't wait to stop here soon!

Really fresh food, lots of authentic plates, good service and some vegetarian options. They use all the right ingredients but somehow it's not suuuuper flavorful, but definitely hits the spot when you're craving real Mexican food!
