Silversmiths - Sheffield

This was our first visit to Silversmiths after hearing many recommendations. The location is beautiful, the staff is very efficient and friendly, the wine selection is great, and the food is delicious and of high quality. We would highly recommend Silversmiths to everyone! - Hayley and Dan

We had a great time having an early evening meal before heading to the theater. It was very convenient and we can't wait to do it again.

I booked a table for two for my partners 40th birthday as a surprise for him. I must say the communication between myself and the restaurant was great when I was booking and asking questions. I prepaid for the set 3 course meal from the Christmas menu, paying was very easy using the electronic system that was emailed to me. The food was out of this world and our server couldn’t have been more helpful or knowledgeable about the food.

We came for our Christmas night out. We were welcomed by friendly staff who were very nice and accommodating. the surroundings were really nice. Delicious food, each course was yummy. The service was perhaps a little slow given there were only 4 tables seated so I’ve given 4 instead of 5 stars. Would recommend

We were a group of five out for our Christmas meal that we always have and choose Silversmiths this year. The Christmas menu looked great but unfortunately the night wasn 't! The menu options were limited and a few of our choices were sorry we are out of that mate . For one of us both starter and main course choice wasn 't available. The food itself was average. The monkfish flavour was totally overpowered by the mess and random flavours that had been thrown over it . The most strangest way to present a dish. The vegetarian squash dish was unbelievably bad. Large lumps of semi hard vegetable coated in a more or less flavourless topping. Most of it went back. The Christmas menu was advertised as entry with a glass of Presecco, which we were not offered and had to ask for it! (It was then added onto our bill, but was taken off when we questioned it) On the positive side the staff are professional, friendly and helpful and the desserts we had, toast and jam and sticky toffee pudding were good , well presented and flavoursome. But the evening for our party was a big disappointment.
