Finally the waiter came back and took our food order before he disappeared again. we had to order the drinks! to give them the advantage of the doubt, this could be because radhuni has no alcohol license and works on its own alcohol base. neither my partner nor I drank, so we hoped at least for the offer of an overpriced kokakola. next time we will sneak in a wine bottle in grape juice! all that said, the service was perfectly friendly. just a little forward. we started with the Indian stack of poppadomen. unusually, these were obviously cooked by fresh, instead of being pulled by a stack somewhere in the kitchen. that meant that they were still warm, perfectly crisp and incredibly tasty. the pickles were made to house and a sign of good things to come. the food was delicious, all freshly cooked to order and the star of the show. the yogurt dressing was obviously fresh in the kitchen creamed, it was light, full air and taste. When our head arrived, it was obvious that the chef is proud to be eating. they were well presented, parts were a decent size, but not overwhelming and as per starter all were freshly cooked by scratches. that meant waiting a bit, but it was good. the seasoned were not overwhelming, the hen was succultivated and clear had previously been marinated instead rolled quickly into seasoning before cooking. our garlic nan was probably the best naan I ever had. everything is too easy to pour over half a bottle of garlic oil and they are left with nothing but the stinging smell and taste of garlic. this was different freshly cut garlic and petersilie meant that she got a decent garlic china fusion, but it was still safe to kiss afterwards. the rice was complemented by saffron, which gives it both taste and an Indian color. it looked all out and tasted the part. the eating was the star of the show, so we decided to stop there, rejected dessert and coffee and went into a wet sheffield night, was looking forward to finding a little jewel. we paid £30 for two, including poppadoms, two main courses and non-alcoholic drinks. we took our left to home and had them the next day as if we were back to students.
This is our favorite restaurant! It may not look like much from the outside, so you might think it’s just a takeout spot. Radhuni doesn’t have an alcohol license, which means you can bring your own drinks, making it convenient and budget-friendly. The food is consistently excellent; every time we dine in or get takeout, the flavors are fantastic. The service is friendly and attentive, and the staff is happy to answer any questions about the dishes on the menu. Overall, it’s a great place!
I have dined in the restaurant and also ordered takeout from here. The food is always delicious. They offer an excellent selection of dishes. The delivery service is always quick and helpful. I highly recommend it!
Fab food and bring your own drinks! Great value. Service not always perfect, but hard to fault otherwise.
I felt compelled to write a review after my visit tonight for a chicken tikka madras. It was absolutely beautiful! It's becoming increasingly rare to find restaurants that prepare curries the way they used to, catering to the traditional English palate. A couple of months ago, my daughter had a chicken korma, and she enjoyed that as well. I really think this place deserves to be much busier!
