Mangla - Sheffield

Visited here with some family friends to ask for a mouthwater eating discount and a serious curry. sheffield of late has lost the majority of his curry houses that serve a real traditional style curry. mangla came to the conversation after the memory of the times of the old and we only had to visit! we ordered 1kg lamb karahi on the bone, prawn methi (not on the menu, but if I ask her to make it always so perfect) fish karahi, tarka daal, pilau reis, keema paratha, garlic coriander naan and some chapatis. there were some confusion about the size of lamb karahi ordered, but the waiter very efficient, polite and professionally sorted it and got the complete dish served in no time. the lamb karahi was really amazing. full taste and the meat perfectly delicate. fish karahi was beautiful and tasteful, prawn methi lacked a little salt/season, but was still beautiful. tarka daal was so creamy and tasty, one of the best daal I had in a restaurant. of the broth was the garlic coriander naan the standout. I wouldn't lie if I said I just had it on my own! a great meal round. Go on! I'm back!

I was first introduced as a teenager into the mangla, it was the first curry I had ever, and now a 40 years old I have never looked back since, I have granted other curries about the years tried, but nothing and I mean, nothing has come close, great tasting eating, long living the mangla!

Since 80s went to Mangala when it was a little bit of a ride on spital hill. the mangala is it! a very good curry for a reasonable price, so do not expect super service like some of these people who have left reviews here! tell me where 4 people can go and have a good curry for £40. you go to eat your curry and let that's how mangala always works for me, that's great. if they go all service treatment and an average curry somewhere different and pay £100 minimum for 4 people! mangala rocks and has been for 40 years! good eating, that is what counts plus I never had a bad service always only good curry and unbeatable worth!

Amazing eating, great prizes, would not consider anything else. my place for a butter chicken apna style and a garlic-caloriander-nan.
