We have never had this issue at any other McDonald's in Sheffield. We will not be ordering from here again and are now having to deal with Uber Eats for a refund. If you're thinking of ordering from here, I suggest going in person instead of online. How do they manage to mess up an order by missing 2 burgers and 4 fries? This is a truly pathetic company.
A friend and I visited this McDonald's while in town to see a comedy show. Despite the typical fast food fare and friendly staff, we were bombarded with a depressing playlist that added to our hangovers. My friend had a comical yet horrifying experience in the underground toilets, which resulted in me laughing uncontrollably and causing concern among other customers. I eventually had to leave the restaurant due to my laughter, while my friend emerged from the toilets after an eventful 25 minutes. Overall, a decent McDonald's experience, with apologies to the cleaners for any mess.
The restaurant had poor management during my visit. I waited 20 minutes for a simple milkshake and had to inquire about my order, only to find out it had been sitting out for 18 minutes and had melted by the time I received it. Despite being the only person in line, no one seemed interested in helping me. The staff members and managers were more focused on chatting and laughing amongst themselves instead of assisting me. The server appeared new and was left to handle most of the work while the line manager failed to provide any support. By the time I finally received my drink (Order 63), they were already serving Order 84. It was disappointing to see that despite having plenty of time to address the situation, the managers and staff chose to ignore me and disrespectfully prioritize their own conversations.
I 'll start with a moan: the process of ordering some fries seemed unnecessarily complicated. Is it just me? Do most people actually like the self service machines? Staff were reasonably friendly and once I 'd made my order I was waiting for no time at all. But it would be nice if they made the menu on the wall easier to read for dinosaurs like me who don 't or can 't use the self service machines. Of course, this is probably more of a McDonald 's gripe than one specific to this branch. The self service machines are less stressful in smaller/less busy McDonald 's (i.e. not this one) though. In terms of the 'vibe ', I gelt like an OAP walking in there (I am in my twenties). I would not be comfortable eating in as it 's very much a teen hangout if you 're a teen it might be up your street, but I 'm rating based on my own experience. It 's always been in a convenient location so it 'll likely outlive much of Sheffield 's remaining high street. It 's also open when nothing else is, so if you 're visiting from outside the area and need somewhere cheap and safeish to go after hours, it 's better than loitering outside.
Best maccies in Sheffield. I go here every Thursday with my friends after a group we all go to, and also whenever we meet up in town. I live this place, everyone is so nice and the food comes quickly most of the time.
