Had issues with my food. It was my first mothers day and I left extremely disappointed. They put coriander all over the Korean BBQ chicken dish which is a strong flavour, and it wasn't listed on the menu. I sent it back with the feedback but nothing came of it. The mac and cheese dish came out refrigerator cold. In fairness they did correct this and it came out piping hot after we had all finished. I was hoping the bill would reflect this but it didn't. The BBQ chicken dish also only had a minute amount of chicken on it so felt like a bit of a rip off. Overall, poor.
Great value as we ate on the deal with 50%off mains, however the food was so good would definitely eat here again at full price. We had breakfast here a few weeks ago not a promotion and that was also really good, giraffe Meadowhall have really upped their game.
The restaurant seemed understaffed. We waited a long time for our plates to be cleaned from our table, after both courses. Multiple items were missing from the menu when we visited too. Some of our drinks were flat and, while they were replaced, the replacements were also under carbonated. Our celebration dinner wasn't much the fanfare we'd hoped. Having visited other chain restaurants we were expecting some sort of special birthday dessert or drink of some kind. Alas, nothing arrived and we paid our bill with some plates still on our table. The food coming from the kitchen was of a good standard and the waiting staff friendly when they were at our table but, I probably won't go back. This was the 2nd time in 3 weeks the restaurant has underperformed, in my opinion.
Had several allergies. The online allergen matrix technically excluded every meal, but the manager made the very sensible decision to offer combinations that were suitable, by adding or subtracting different components. I had a delicious lunch and was made to feel welcome.
