Georgie's Steak Pit - Sheffield

I have been a patron of George's since the late 60's, when the glass partition between the check out counter and the pit allowed me to watch George grill steaks over the hickory fire. Since the days when chicken noodle soup was on the menu, the wagon wheel light fixtures and the back wall mural of the cattle drive/ branding scene. When Vanji would sit at our table and talk to us on my family's bi-weekly visit for the best steak I have ever had. I am happy to say that the steaks are still the best I've ever had over the 58 years of my life. And now the 3rd generation of my family still looks forward to every bite. Thank you for giving us this outstanding culinary experience in Sheffield, AL.
