The Henley House Pub and Restaurant

Wow! I wish I could bring my mother in law to this place, as they serve old fashioned, traditional English afternoon tea. Complete with the tired platter of sandwiches and sweets, china cups and saucers for the tea. I saw a couple across the restaurant having it and just had to ask about it. The owner told me it is one of their most popular orders, and she even makes her own Welsh cake for it. What a gem! We didn't come here for that, and I ordered the fish tacos before I even knew the tea was available. The fish tacos on the other hand, weren't anything to rave about. Fried with batter, which I personally really dislike and fairly bland. Would have loved the fish to be grilled without batter, and a bit more of a punch for a taco. Service was great and really friendly. I will definitely be back if for nothing else than to experience the afternoon tea.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Murphy's Cove. The food, service and craft beers were wonderful! It is a family run business and we were lucky enough to meet them all and spend the day with them. While we were having lunch, we received a call notifying us the boat tour we had reserved was cancelled. We mentioned our misfortune to our waitress who told her mom who called her husband and family took us in for the day! They entertained us and showed us the best day we had in Nova Scotia - and we were not a small group...there were six of us ranging in ages from 11 to 57. We finished our day off with coffees, hot chocolates and desserts. We simply cannot express how wonderful this family was to us. The food, beers and atmosphere of this restaurant is worth the trip to Sheet Harbour.

After a big walk in taylor head, we could come to this. Nice reception, nice food, terrace to the water. combi of pub and restaurant, which is why you're varied. Delicious mussels and civilians, but also nachos.

Stopped in for lunch while driving through on vacation based on Trip Advisor rating. The craft beers are wonderful, we tried a sampler. The food was well prepared and tasty. I had fish cakes and husband had beef stew and fresh oysters.

They were very accommodating and friendly. They also have crowlers you can purchase if you're too late to hit up the NSLC.
