I was passing through Sheboygan and decided to stop here, fully ready to indulge and break my California diet. I must say, I’m quite delighted with my choice!

I've been a loyal customer for 5 years, ever since my grandparents owned Fredrick's Bakery on 8th Street. There's nothing quite like their steak sandwich on a fresh hard roll paired with an order of twirl rings. I've happily given them a 5-star review over the years due to the consistently great food. However, I had a disappointing meal tonight for the first time in many years, and I'm unsure what went wrong. The hard roll tasted a few days old, and the twirl rings felt and tasted like they had been sitting out for an hour. This is the first time in a long time that I've experienced a bad meal here. Perhaps there's a new cook? I'm not sure. If Scott or Roger happens to read this, I hope they can quickly address these issues. Thank you.

This place is just wonderful. It's very much a family hole-in-the-wall old fashioned place; if you're looking for something fancy go somewhere else. But the food is just so amazingly good. They have wonderful soup and the Friday night fish fry is fantastic. I got fresh perch with shrimp in December and the perch was as good as if I just caught it. And they make their own sauces. Definitely worth the trip.
