Przekaż informację zwrotnąOK BBQ, but not great. I had the brisket sandwich, the 'famous fries ' and a beer. The brisket was lacking in flavor and was also not quite as tender as I would have found at some of the more popular BBQ restaurants in KC. The 'famous fries ' was a large portion of fries that were tasty but a bit greasy. The fries were tiny (like shoestring). The only ketchup available was in small packets that I had to tear open. The fries were good, but difficult to enjoy since they were so small and dipping in ketchup was cumbersome. The beer selection was limited (mostly cheaper beers like Bud, Bud Light, Miller, Miller Light), but I was able to find one that was OK. This was my first time at this restaurant. This is a place where you order, pay, get your food, fill your drinks, then seat yourself. The menu is limited and the descriptions of the menu items are anything but verbose. The food was quickly prepared so that we ordered at one window and our food was ready when we moved to the second window to pay. The sandwich and fries were served hot and fresh. After I provided my credit card, the cashier rotated the 'register ' for me to finish paying by selecting a tip amount. The suggested tip percentages begin at 18% and moved up from there. Of course, you can also select a custom tip amount or none at all. I always tip, but 18% seems a bit much when you are placing your own order, getting your own drinks, seating yourself, and then clearing your table afterwards.
This is the only place we go. Has been for years, the food is the best in our opinion. They have signage that is hysterical. The workers are amazing!!Food: 5/5
Ordered BBQ to go. The food was fair. The prices that I found online were not correct. The food did not have a lot of flavor. I ordered sliced brisket, beans and cold slaw. The beans were the best part of the meal.
Wife and I ate here while son was at birthday party at skyzone. Wife made me take away a star because they don't serve coffee. The food was plentiful for the price. We got the combo plate. Lots of fries. The burnt ends were good. The brisket and the ribs were just ok. We got double baked beans as the side. The beans were too sweet for our taste. Honestly, the fries were the best thing there. We really liked their sauce and bought a bottle to take home with us. Free refills on the drinks. The staff were all friendly and the service was quick. The total bill was under 30$ and we were both full. Overall, a good experience.Parking: plenty of parking. the lot is shared with skyzone and some other stores.
Lived next to this place 2 years, just tried it today for a date night. We didn’t get much since we were testing the waters, but the $15 full slab was tender and delicious. And my wife had the Shawnee sandwich pulled pork with slaw (Carolina style) down before I could pick up my 2nd rib. I like the sauces a lot, especially the spicy one. I’ll be back soon to try the fries and other menu items. Very clean and the young guys seemed to have an awesome demeanor. My wife and I will bring the kids by next time, instead of having them gulp down all our left overs when we get home
