Caribou Coffee - Shawnee

I've been a fan of Caribou Coffee for a long time, and I'm thrilled that there are several locations in the Kansas City metro area. This particular spot is easy to find on Shawnee Mission Parkway. The staff here is amazing. Although I can't use my extensive collection of reusable Caribou Coffee cups during the COVID-19 era, the team at this location still offered me a 10% discount for bringing them in. I'm looking forward to when we can fully return to using them again and contribute to saving the planet.

First, I want to give the lady working in the window today, props. I was on a man in a white truck that came out and stood at the window and was torn by the girl when she asked him to come back to his truck. I was impressed by how professional she treated the conversation, although the man was unreasonably evil. my drink was great and my eating was hot. Go on.

The drive through line runs a bit slow at times, but the coffee quality absolutely makes up for it. I typically get the turtle mocha with dark chocolate and my wife the regular mocha with dark chocolate. The dark chocolate allows for a really good flavor while dampening the sweetness of the drink. The only real criticism is the driveway on the north side of the building. It is incredibly steep and you have to take the turn really wide to keep from scraping the bottom of your car. There is another way in on the west side that is easily accessed and won’t try to eat the front of your car though, so definitely take that one whenever visiting.

Always excellent service and always amazing people. The one time they accidentally handed me a hot, they immediately fixed it to iced and were extremely gracious about it. Definitely worth the stop in the morning and always quick.
