The brisket had a lovely smoke ring but lacked a bit of smokiness and was a little dry. The pulled pork was decent but not standout. I would have preferred the sauce served on the side to fully appreciate the meat's flavor. The beans were tasty, and the coleslaw was good too.
This restaurant boasts an excellent location and features a friendly, helpful staff. It was my first visit to a Jim 'N Nick's, and the smoky aroma of the barbecue hits you right at the entrance. Inside, the place is tidy and well-organized. The employees are consistently available to assist you, and the food is outstanding. If you're a fan of drinks, there's a great bar area as well. Additionally, there are numerous TVs throughout the restaurant showing various sports events.
I recently visited this location for the first time, having had a fantastic experience at the McDonough location last year. Kaylee was an excellent server and really enhanced our visit! The ribs were incredibly tender and delicious. The beef brisket was the best I've ever tasted, and the mac and cheese was fantastic! The baked beans were also excellent, and the fries were great. The biscuits are so good, they’re dangerously addictive! Honestly, everything on the menu seems delicious, especially the ice! I can’t wait to return and try the burger.
What should have been a 10 minute stop at the drive through to grab lunch turned into me receiving a container of rotten fruit as a side along with an added 15 minutes of wasted time and energy. I found out the hard way not to complain about an order purchased from here. The manager was very nice and accommodating, but he was not able to get his team on one accord. As punishment for bringing back their rotten fruit, the cooked brisket in my sandwich was replaced byundercooked brisket. I ordered the sandwich with burnt ends. If the manager can't depend on the cooks to prepare a meal, customers certainly can not. Lesson learned. The drive out to Cobb county for Jim n Nick's standard of quality food iswell worth avoiding the hassle of dealing with this location.
The restaurant has a nice modern feel to it. The servers are friendly. Overall the food is okay, nothing to die for. The cornbread muffins were the best. The ribs I ordered were dry, chewy, and little to no taste. The fried fish was also generic. The ac was cranked up way too high on my visit, it felt like I was eating in a refrigerator and that made my food cold real fast. Cold bbq is not good bbq. I probably won't return a second time considering that there are muchbetter bbq places closer to home.
