Silkie's Chicken And Champagne

I can't say anything other than purely AMAZING! The flavors are surprising and just explode in your mouth. My chicken and waffles were really good but I feel like I should have gotten the biscuits and gravity. I thought it would be the white gravitybut it is this flavored filled sauce that will surprise you in a great way! Please do yourself a favor and hurry here! We wereespecially excited to see Chef Kenny Gilbert making plates himself!! The vibe is chilled as well and the music was nice! Such awonderful experience!

The restaurant has a nice concept. My food was delicious. The portion sizes were adequate. The location was in a sketchy area. I didn?t like that I had to fix my own drink and get my own utensils especially because this place it a sit down restaurant. Thelemonade container was out of lemonade the entire time I was there and the sweet tea was not sweet at all.

Silkies was the highlight of my trip to Jacksonville. Silkies redefined what southern fried chicken means to me. I 've never had a crust so flavorful, chicken so well seasoned, and the most fluffy and tasty biscuits known to man. For under $25 they give you the largest piece of chicken you 've ever seen on a bed of perfectly crispy waffle fries and a side of sliced delectable pickles. I feel bad for every restaurant that I eat at in the future because this is the new bar set for quality of fried chicken that I 'm looking for.Beautiful atmosphere, quaint home cooking style kitchen and ample self-serve style seating (indoor and out) and water.

We were apprehensive about going based on some of the reviews but the food is delicious it is a very original atmosphere (had the market sampler, highly recommend for first visit which was more than enough for 2 of us . We did not go for brunch (cost more and I am sure it is very busy, hence the rules/format of service . Dog friendly outdoor seating, big plus! Definitely will be back :

Legit. Biscuits are on point. Prices reasonable. Staff was charming. I had the OG Weekend Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was fried pretty much perfectly, well seasoned breading. The tequila OJ syrup was great on the waffles and good on the chicken. When combined with the hot sauce the syrup was just right on the chicken too.
