I love this place. The food is great. The staff are great. The rooftop area has nice views and inside it’s equally beautiful. It might be tricky for some to find so here’s some simple directions to help. If you walk down Wukang Road from Hunan Road on the right side of the road you will go past Ferguson Lane on your right (shops area) which has two entrance/exits. After the second of these, there are some steps on the right just before you get to the junction with Taian Road. Go up these and walk down the side of the building (which is on your left) for 5m until you get to a glass door. Go in and on the left are two lifts. Go up to the top floor (labelled for the Cafe), come out of the lifts and then ahead and up the stairs one floor to the cafe. Enjoy! It’s a wonderful place. Photo directions in attached image. So many dishes form all over the world with great taste. Tried many already all are nice and are very reasonable priced. Will be here more often. Cheers Marc
After being closed for 2 years, ln fortunate is finally back in Shanghai with a new location in the heart of the former French concession. To find the restaurant, look for Peet's Coffee and go to the right of it to find the entrance. Guests can take a lift to the 7th floor and then walk up the stairs to the 8th floor where they will be warmly welcomed by the staff. The restaurant features a breathtaking space with a small roof terrace balcony offering great views, adorned with a beautiful painting by a talented local artist. I attended the opening ceremony last Wednesday and returned today to try out the regular service. By following their WeChat account, guests can receive 10% off their orders by scanning the QR code on their table. Both the vegan burger and pommes frites were delicious, especially the salt and pepper spiced pommes. The cinnamon and Matcha breads were also tasty without being overly sweet. Finally, I enjoyed a oat milk latte to-go, which was delightful. I am excited to return and explore more items on the menu.
We visited this restaurant for a gathering with the Shanghai Vegan Foodie Group. The buffet they prepared was phenomenal, with a variety of delicious options. Their extensive menu also offers a wide selection of dishes. A definite must-try!
