Aegean - Shalimar

I have never been disappointed by any of the Aegean restaurants in this area. They are all clean and well-maintained, offering delicious food. The service is generally quite good. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a typical Greek diner—not extraordinary, but certainly pleasant. These restaurants tend to be a bit crowded, which isn’t necessarily a drawback; it just means the food is good and worth the wait.

The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. However, the owners have recently started adding a "food surcharge" of around 10% to the bill. Essentially, this means they are charging more than the prices listed, and I suspect that may not be entirely legal. If they feel the need to increase prices, they should just raise them and display the updated amounts on the menu instead of adding an extra fee.

Absolutely fantastic! Everything was packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned, without being too salty. The rice and pita bread were wonderfully fluffy, the Greek meatballs were tender and light, and the salad was wonderfully fresh. We will definitely be coming back here!

BEWARE I 'm leaving this review for a good friend of mine. He called me up upset and sent me this picture of his receipt. The meal prices are priced very high and you 're going to add a 10% food surcharge on top of that. Me and my family and friendshave better places to eat that does not charge a 10% food surcharge. This restaurant offers excellent food, and the staff are consistently friendly and a pleasure to be around. The value for the price is impressive; you receive ample portions of high-quality, well-prepared dishes. The Dolmades (grape leaves stuffed with rice and ground meat) are a must-try appetizer. Their hummus and pita bread are also outstanding. For dinner, the stuffed bell peppers are always a great choice. Additionally, they have a lovely selection of beautifully decorated cakes, all of which are delicious as well.
