South Fork Grille - Shadow Wood

The kitchen missed the mark with my pricey scallops, failing to get the pan hot enough. Instead of achieving a nice sear with a crust, they were merely steamed and then reheated, resulting in a rubbery texture that was quite disappointing. The stunning photo I had seen in a local magazine of those same scallops at Southfork didn't even remotely resemble the dish I received. On a brighter note, the chopped salad was excellent and the pleasant evening weather made outdoor seating a joy. The staff was accommodating to my friends who smoke, which was appreciated. Plus, the bar was a lot of fun, thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. It's just unfortunate that the chef didn’t know how to properly prepare scallops.

This delightful little restaurant was just what I was looking for for a sit-down lunch. The salmon with risotto was outstanding; the fish was cooked to perfection, and the dish was both flavorful and generously portioned. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was relaxed and casual, yet suitable for a business lunch (I was there with a client). Our waiter was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and he even offered to provide to-go cups for our drinks when we left. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

This Place is absolutely Amazing!!! The food and Drinks are fantastic. We will definitely return to enjoy another meal soon.

At first, we were disappointed because we never had a consistent waiter during our visit. We encountered three different waitstaff, but they seemed to be too busy tending to the bar and serving drinks. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, but to our surprise, it was mostly roasted banana peppers—only about one-third was actually calamari. Those were just small inconveniences, but the food itself was horrendous; I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. When it was time to ask for the check, we had to wait 20 minutes for it to arrive. When our card was finally returned, I was in the bathroom, and I looked at my girlfriend and said, "Did you really pay him? How could you let that happen?" Overall, the service was extremely disrespectful and simply unacceptable!

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The food was tasty, but nothing stood out as exceptional—except for the incredible baked Brie appetizer, which I highly recommend. The gnocchi was slightly gummy, although the sauce was lovely.
