When you get off the tram, this terminal is shaped like an X (gates are in the South/North/East/West zone). Look up and see the big Burger King sign. When you are facing BK, the Cathay Lounge is to the left of BK. How to get up there: The short way is hidden. In the center of the X terminal are 4 sets of escalators, but you don 't see them. So where the South and East hallways meet for example, explore that retail area in that armpit and you 'll find the escalators go up and inwards toward the center of the X . Otherwise you take the long way like I did, which is to walk all the way down the four hallways to the gates, and then there at the end are stairs that go upstairs and back towards the center of the X . About the lounge: 1. Overall it is nicer than typical Priority Pass lounges, but it 's not nearly as nice as the Cathay lounges at HKG. 2. It 's not a large facility but there was plenty of seating that was comfortable. There are six desks with computers. 3. Food is limited but it was okay to me. Three hot trays, some fruit and yogurt, and instant noodle cups. 4. There is some alcohol available. 5. I only saw two unisex restrooms and no showers.
Compared to other Cathay Pacific airport lounges in Asia, this is probably at the lower end of the list. Space is adequate, but was busy and more cramped once there were people gathering and waiting for the next Cathay Pacific flight departing. Some booze, but no bottled water (a communal bottle that you pour a glass from). There are limited snacks and drinks versus any substantive food options. No showers or anything like that. A work space corner to work on one of their computers, fax, internet, etc. They have WIFI. One TV that was tuned to BBC and no option to change to another news outlet. There were some tiny bugs flying around, which was of note in my mental summary of my experience. Nothing bad, but noticeable enough that I am noting it here. Staff was friendly and wandering about. It is great to have a spot to simply chill and relax, but this lounge is simply OK. Nothing special
Typical CX decor, entrance using their signature Elba marble decor, classy and nice. Tiny little lounge, although not so much choices of food, but taste were nicer than Golden way too much, and less noises too.
Great service, clean, and quiet. You can request a shower and they will send you down to wellness spa. This place is 10x better than Plaza Premium lounge.
