The waitress brought three of the four dinners for the four of us and then just forgot to bring the fourth. I saw the plate in the kitchen and the kitchen workers were too busy talking to even figure out who that plate belonged too. I had to ask where my dads dinner was for her bring it. He was supposed to get mashed potatoes and the waitress said they were making it. They never showed up. The waitress never came back so we had to go up to the register to get our check and then gave us attitude about the potatoes. Good food if you don't mind waiting eternity.
This place is now called Downtown Diner. I wish I'd known that. The place we originally wanted to go to was closed so we tried this place. The service was good. The inside is clean. The food however was not good. The open face turkey sandwich is just cold cut turkey with a packet of brown gravy over it. Incredibly salty with absolutely no flavor. The mashed potatoes and fries were adequate but nothing special. Super disappointing birthday lunch.
Went for brunch on a Sunday, it was delicious. Tried the blueberry French toast. Great portion size. Will definitely be back!
My family and I had the very worst restaurant experience I 've ever dealt with in my life today at Downtown Diner (formerly Senoia Smokehouse). When we arrived, it was extremely crowded at the front of the restaurant, and we were told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. The prescribed wait was pretty accurate and we were sat fairly soon. We were served by Christine (or Kristine, I don 't remember the spelling), and my wife and I both ordered waters and a glass of milk for my thirteen month old son. Soon after, we ordered our food: a French dip and fries for my wife, a burger and fries for me, and a small cup of Mac and cheese for my son. The food arrived in a quick manner. The French dip was served cold, but we have both been in the food industry before and know that that 's how it goes sometimes. No big deal. However, the problem was my son 's mac and cheese. It smelled weird from the jump, but we assumed it was the cheese they had used to make it. However, after stirring it to help cool it down for him, we quickly realized it had been made with spoiled milk, as it had that revolting and unmistakable smell and taste at the bottom of the cup. We notified our waitress and explicitly told her we were not complaining about the food, and we only wanted to make the kitchen aware that something may be wrong with the food. Our waitress took it away quickly, only to return with it after just a minute or two where she informed us that she 'd been snapped at by the on-duty kitchen manager who said to her, and this is a direct quote, he didn 't want to hear about it. We were also told we would have to pay for it as it wouldn 't be removed from our check. So, I write all of this to say that while the manager (who I 'm assuming is the owner but I don 't know for sure and I won 't say definitively) didn 't have the time or desire to hear what we had to say about his food, it 's my hope that someone sees this and thinks twice about dining at this restaurant. We, along with our waitress, did absolutely nothing wrong and she was verbally blasted for her efforts in helping raise an issue to a potential health violation. I 'll be taking this review to as many places as I can post it in an effort to both warn future potential customers to our outright **** poor service from management and to hopefully help someone at the Downtown Diner get a clue.
Decided to visit since we were craving bbq and they were the closest to downtown. Looked at reviews and saw that there were some low reviews due to them not being open at scheduled hours, but figured that’s no reflection on food quality so went anyhow. We arrived at 11:45am on Saturday and they were closed. No signage explaining why they’re closed, no information on their website, etc. Disappointed we wasted our time coming here when they aren’t opened as advertised and there’s no sign or anything explaining.
