What can I say about this place other than thank you for a wonderful visit. We were in Porto for the night and stumbled across this place and thank goodness we did. It is a family run restaurant that offers excellent food, with a childrens menu at very reasonable prices. The plates were cleared, the bill was reasonable but the biggest thing is the service which, to us, was outstanding. The owner could not have been more helpful or patient and he was a great help to us by sorting our transport problems for the next morning. His wife is a wonderful cook and his daughters were an asset to the restaurant. We are told this has the best Francesinha in Porto Nothing but praise from us and thank you. Muito Obrigado.

Taparia is becoming a habit for me. The food is delicious and very affordable. They have all kind of delicious tapas (calamari, ham, cheese, etc. and traditional Portuguese dishes (such as Francesinha , for a very good price. Owners are also very helpful and polite. Only negative side is that you need to take a car to get there.
