Tempura Azumi - Sendai

We found this place as highly recomended on google. I think the chef was testing us as he informed us that it was chefs choice and with the first course we were served snails! We ate them (challenge accepted) and then proceeded to the tempura which was beautiful. We got the feeling it was a more upmarket place to eat and the host (a lady) was so friendly and helped us so we knew how to use the various dips and sauces. She was so happy to have us there. A couple of rounds of different tempura that was beautiful and a few rounds of rice wine and two bottles of beer later the bill was about 16,000 yen for three people and we felt full but not over stuffed. Just right. It was an authentic Japanese place to eat and we enjoyed the evening. Highly recomend.
