The internal bar is a complete contrast to the outside patio /terrace area by the church , which looks cool and trendy. The inside is a real old local frequented by very local people. Owners are really friendly , excellent coffee and the sandwiches and tapas are nicely done. No airs and graces and good for that. Good range of tapas. Shuts between 2.30 and 1730 in August but they don't chuck you out or refuse you food if you arrive near closing time.
We were staying in Moscari and thought we would try this small Cafe/Restaurant. We were not disappointed. What friendly chatty staff and the lady who runs this couldn't do enough for us. The menu was all in Spanish but she talked us through all the dishes and made suggestions for the children. Unfortunately, my daughter who is vegetarian had limited choice (not the restaurant's fault! . The food was really tasty and it was excellent value. My husband tried the liver and pork loin tapas tasty! This changes daily. Highly recommend x Lovely sitting out, watching the world go by...
We just stopped for a coffee, but the waitress saw I was tired from the cycle uphill and brought us some apple turnover for free. Nice touch!
We had a couple of excellent meals at Es Pou. We gather it's only been open a couple of months but it's obviously a gem. It has a lovely set of tables outside on the cobbles of Moscari (as well as an inside area), and a great menu with freshly cooked food, including a good selection of fish and meat. Both times our food was extremely delicious and the staff very friendly. It's also extremely cheap- for example the set menu last Subday was 11 euros for a big glass of wine, bottled water, a super tasty paella with lobster, crab, squid and prawn and a dessert. We can't recommend it enough
