Blue Bonnet Palace - Selma

Don 't think this is legit BBQ but is a great entertainment venue. Brisket was carved in slices more than an inch thick and served as blocks of beef. What 's that about? Presented in paper boats like you 'd use for French fries. And worst of all the food including sides was all lukewarm to cool. Too bad cause the potential was definitely there. Brisket was super tender, German sausage was coarse ground and sauce was some of the best I 've had. Service by Jewel was attentive without being intrusive and was very informative. Just attending to a few critical details by management could pay huge dividends.

This is the hardest 3 stars I've had to give cos I really wish I could give them 5 stars. Overall this place is FANTASTIC and great for dancing, bringing friends or making new friends, and great drinks. BUT... unfortunately... ... I was by the bar area outside, the one that is next to the food area, when out of nowhere I saw a big rat running towards the restaurant/kitchen area. I'm hoping the rodent never made it inside the kitchen area but how sure can one be? Again, this place is doing a fantastic job but rats running around and running toward the kitchen area is never a good sign. Hopefully this problem can be taken care of cos this place is still great to come dance. But I dunno if I'll ever eat here again

We had never been to Blue Bonnet until last weekend. I will be going back! We went for dinner at the bbq place and it was very good food! Everyone was very nice and had great service. This place is beautiful and we watched 3 different groups for the concert it was so much fun! We didn't spend much time inside but everyone in there seemed to be having a great night. We were there for the concerts. Would highly recommend check this place out!

I'm updating my review... I guess it got flagged by the venue and removed. So I really hope you the yelper they the venue enjoy the updated version Out of all the music venues in the area this is the MOST LIKELY TO CANCEL CONCERTS WITH 24-48 hours notice... I'm not sure if this is a new management style or marketing tactic but I'm not a fan. When I brought this up in a comment on FB in response to an yet another canceled concert they felt the need to block me from commenting or liking their post. As a someone who attends concerts and is from this area it was hard to plan for outings with friend and a hour plus commute then to have cancel not once not twice and even more than that. So if your looking ... you get what you pay for .. it's a bar. That may or may not have a concert after all.

The service is great. Food is wonderful. But, I'm soooo disappointed that they no longer have chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans! Bad move! That's the only thing I order here, so.......
