Great ambiance indoors or out on the patio! Fast and courteous service as well. Definitely worth a stop if on your route or even a little out of your way!
The food is great!! The environment/ambience is amazing!! Quaint and enjoyable!! Would definitely go there again!!!
Was excited to try a new restaurant! Place is beautiful, inside and out. Good patio seating, but heads up its dog friendly. I don't mind dogs normally, but having them sit in the chairs at the table, eating from the owners hand is disgusting. 3 people with 3 dogs at a table for 6. REALLY? Now for the food....my Turkey Pot Pie was just shredded turkey with a few random veggies in a bowl topped with breadcrumbs. So dry I couldn't eat it. The waitress offered to get me something else but I dared not try. They did comp it, and admit it was made incorrectly. The husbands chicken fried steak was so tough he could hardly cut it. It was like chewing gum. No seasoning on anything....all was so bland. Very sad. They really need to step up the food to match their beautiful restaurant.
I was really excited about this restaurant's concept, with its rotating menu featuring local, fresh ingredients and a lovely setting by the creek that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to my expectations. The fig and pear appetizer sounded appealing, but the flavors didn't blend well, and apart from the figs, it was pretty bland. This was disappointing because I genuinely enjoy the earthy, creamy taste of goat cheese along with the sweetness of pears and the crunch of high-quality nuts. We attempted to dine outside by the creek, but we had to fish flies out of two water glasses and my husband’s wine glass. When the mosquitoes began to bite, we were forced inside, which was another letdown since there’s no view of the beautifully landscaped creek from indoors. This also made it difficult to keep an eye on our son, who wanted to play. As for my meal, the roasted duck was just okay—tough and gamey without much flavor. On a positive note, my husband enjoyed his burger and fries. Our kids had plain pasta. Finally, the peanut butter pie was creamy but lacked depth in flavor and sweetness. The balance between the crust, chocolate sauce, and peanut butter simply wasn’t there. Overall, the restaurant has a lot of potential, but it fell short in execution.
We wandered off the interstate and discovered this hidden gem purely by chance. The setting is beautiful, offering both indoor and outdoor dining options. They have an intriguing selection of local wines that perfectly complement a delightful menu. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. It's definitely worth a visit for a wonderful evening.
