It looked like it was going to be a little dry but it was perfectly juicy and seasoned. Turkey well the kids loved it. Mac and cheese was on point. And I had to buy a jar of their pickles.
I got the two meat plate. The brisket was very, very good. Way above average. A good smoky flavor and not dry at all. The pulled pork was some of the best I have tasted. Sweet and tender as can be. All sides were excellent. Staff is nice, a little busy on a Friday lunch hour but the food got to our table quick. It's worth the drive out. Go for it.
I?m so happy right now! No words. The best food, the best service, the sweetest people. Now this is what good BBQ should taste like. I?ve had BBQ from all over and I?m always disappointed! Every other place take note of how things should be done! I had the two meat plate, Mac and cheese and my husband had brisket, cheese fries and peach cobbler. OMG this place has me in the best mood right now. Literally the best, best food! BBQ sauce on point too. Too good not to share my experience here. Run don?t walk and enjoy every bite! This was a foodie experience in the books! The Food network should get out here and check it out! P.S. everything is homemade even the pickles and onions. Just one word. Wow! We will forever add this to our must stop list when passing through.
Really exceptional BBQ that's far and above anything you're going to find in the SA metro. Rabel's is a little out of the way but 100% worth the time it takes to get there. They're smoking with hickory (as God intended meats to be smoked) rather than just buying cheaper cords of mesquite. Their sauce is on point and the pulled pork sandwich was the best I've had in years. Get the jalapeno bun if you order any of the sandwiches because it adds a nice flavor that melds well with the meat without adding any noticeable heat. The staff was great and the pitmaster actually took the time to swing by our table for a chat. It was an awesome experience all around. We'll be coming out of our way to return in the future because it was really that good.
Arrived right at opening with a small line to order on a Sunday. I ordered the sandwich meal with the ranch pasta salad and a quarter pound of sausage. Unfortunately, they did not have peach cobbler. I was provided a table number and took a seat. My food came out within 5 minutes. My brisket sandwich had nice, hot cuts of both marbled and lean meat very delicious! The ranch pasta salad was good I would probably try something else next time. Both the spicy and regular BBQ sauce had a nice flavor. Employees came around to make sure we didn't need anything else and to pick up our trash. The restaurant itself was very well kept and clean including the restrooms. I was very satisfied with the service and food quality money well spent!
