Przekaż informację zwrotnąI have been meeting friends at this café for many years. We recently visited and enjoyed the food and service. However, when we returned this week (Wednesday 19th), we were surprised to find that the café was closed for a private event. There was no advance notice given, and it seems that such closures can happen at any time without warning. The lack of organization and planning is disappointing, as there is no calendar of events provided. I was advised that the only way to ensure the café is open in the future is to call on the day or the day before, something we have never had to do in all our years of meeting there. We usually plan our meetups four weeks in advance without any issues. Now, we run the risk of showing up on the day and being turned away. Due to poor communication, I can only give this café one star.
We thoroughly enjoy dining at this restaurant. The food is top-notch, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere offers a true sense of community as it is affiliated with Lakeside Church. The view from the window is fantastic - just take a look at the quick sketch I made while sitting at one of the tables.
I usually don't leave reviews but I had to mention this place. A friend invited me to the Coffee House and I decided to give it a try. I had no idea this place even existed, but I'm so glad I went! The atmosphere was chill, the coffee was delicious, the service was quick, and the view of the lake was stunning. I've found my new spot and I will definitely be returning. I might even bring a friend next time. I highly recommend it. 100% satisfied.
So glad we stumbled across this lovely cafe !! I visit an elderly lady in a care home near to the Oasis coffee house and we needed a quick, convenient place to visit so tried here Wow ,it was perfect, easy parking ,a lift, lovely comfy sofas or sit at tables, a fabulous view over the marina and superb drinks and cakes, it just couldn't have been better. The volunteers that run it are all lovely and friendly and we promised them we would be back for lunch soon and I can't wait.
We stumbled of the coffee shop whilst out for a walk on our mini break to Southport. It is truly a little gem. The view over the Marine Lake is superb, the seating area is so relaxed and easy. Everyone is so welcoming. We had coffee and sesame flapjack as it was recommended by the gentleman serving us I also spotted my favourite peanut butter cookies so had one of those too. My husband picked a ginger cookie and we decided to share the flapjack lol and not be totally greedy! We settled down onto a very comfy leather sofa, you can sit outside on the veranda if you wish. Honestly I could have gone back for more if both the flapjack and the cookies they were both so beautiful. What more could the place offer great coffee, gorgeous cakes cookies and sandwiches and a superb view in a comfortable and relaxing environment. The coffee shop is run by volunteers and they are all lovely people. I will certainly be back again next time I am in Southport.
