Restaurant Point - Seewen

As we were looking for a restaurant around Schwyz, we stopped there to take some pictures of the sunset, the view is just wonderful; I just regret I didn't take a good camera with a polarizer. Then inside the surprise was also good, it is a gourmet restaurant with modern interpretations of traditional Swiss dishes. The waitresses were very kind, especially with our - too noisy to my taste - children. The service was fast for fresh food prepared on demand. The deserts are excellent. Overall it is the kind of gourmet restaurant I would usually find in Paris but with a nicer location and a lot cheaper. Finally I feel they should have changed me at least 30% to 50% more for what was delivered to me, especially why I compare to the average restaurant in Switzerland.

We visited the Point on a wonderful Saturday evening. The view from the terrace is just stunning, overlooking the whole valley! The owner is very friendly and we were cordially welcomed. However, the waitress was an absolute disaster. Starting from her appearance, grumpy and unkempt, she was completely incompetent. She didn't know the menu nor the vine list. She was VERY slow. It took us 2.5 hours to get to our main course! The meals were ok but quite pricey for the quality. The duet of asparagus consisted of 4 pieces asparagus - quite modest for 20CHF! The fish was already sold out 20 min after opening the restaurant?!?We feel a little bit sorry because the location is great, the owners are nice but overall it was a let-down.

Can be highly recommend, in particular with kids. Even toys are being provided. Will definitely come again.

Very nice place with a nice view to the lake and mountains! Food and service is very good

Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend from the city of Schwyz. Terrific views of the lake of Lauerz. Enjoyed home made late afternoon ice cream on the terrace.
