The Boathouse - Sedgemoor

We had a wonderful evening at The Boathouse located in Lakeside Holiday Village, Burnham on Sea. It was a family and friends event celebrating a 50th birthday party. The venue's facilities were top-notch and very well-maintained. The prices at the bar were quite reasonable and all the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the night. The food, catered by an outside company, was absolutely delicious - we enjoyed a hog roast and I even had seconds. If I lived further away, I would definitely consider traveling here for a family holiday. Lakeside Holiday Village is a lovely place to stay.

We dined at The Boathouse on the first night of our vacation. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we waited longer than expected for our food and observed others who had ordered after us receive their meals first. We were pleased to see they had a vegan/vegetarian menu, but my vegan burger was overcooked and I only managed to eat half of it before giving up. My husband's curry was decent, but it did not appear to be freshly made and the poppadom was greasy. The dishes being served to other tables looked lackluster. We decided to eat elsewhere on Saturday night but returned on Sunday to share a pizza, which was enjoyable but not the best we've had.

During our stay at the caravan park, we decided to dine at the Boat House. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant one evening and also ordered some pizzas to-go. The meal deal of 2 pizzas for £12 was perfect for our family on a budget, and the pizzas were definitely worth the price. The restaurant had a clean, fresh and inviting ambiance with a very welcoming atmosphere.

We recently stayed at Lakeside Holiday Park for 4 nights, and we went to the Boathouse every evening. The lager was good, at £3.60 a pint, but you could buy a 4 pint Jug for £12. The service was excellent and the Entertainment pretty good, bingo every evening. Children's entertainment seemed ok. There was a variety of Quizzes, game shows and one evening a singer on stage.

Great buffet plenty of food. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy. Would recommend it .
