The personal is not very polite. it is my second visit in this pub and the one above seems a constant. the availability of courses or drinks in the menu is personal discreet_ e.g. supp.e. is not avavilable during the lunchtime (2 pm), desert...at first restricted, and so on. food quality is not bad, but nothing special. So a little less than average is the best description I can think. I would not recommend this pub.
...I wonder what happened to the old reviews? Food is decent, not exceptional, and pricey for a neighborhood joint. Service can be slow if it's busy, but even if it's not. The terrace in the back is nice during summer.
This restaurant ... or more correctly gastro pub ... used to be called Trattoria Rock'N Pasta. It is an amazing find in every aspect. The food is exceptionally good and cheap even by Romanian standards ... many thanks Aurelia (the chef). Like most Romanian restaurants...it is dominated by meat dishes, but there are still plenty of alternative choices. The meat is of superb quality (like Angus beef) and everything is super fresh... nothing canned or frozen. Just to give an example, the super platter for two has 950 grams of meat (pork and chicken), 250 g potatoes and 300 g vegetables....at RON 73 or $18. Enough to feed the Chinese army. Drinks the beer selection covers eight pages in the menu, pretty much from all over the world. One liter of Heineken draft for $4. The wine list is almost as impressive ... a great selection of difficult to find and very affordable Romanian wines. Ambiance and service OK, but not exceptional. A typical neighborhood pub in that respect. Menu only in Romanian but staff speak good English. Overall, the quality of the food at rock bottom prices will definitely justify a visit ... even making it a destination on my next trip to Bucharest.
The waiter seemed friendly in the beginning and food was average, but the biggest problem with this pub was that when I have ordered something that was not exactly on the menu, he just winked at me assuring me he could MAKE it for me,...without specifying the amount of money it would actually cost for that order. I think it's only common courtesy that if it's an item is not listed on the menu to inform them of the cost if it's almost double than other items. I wouldn't even be writing this poor review, if it weren't for the sneaky way they chose to go about the bill, by just assuming the customer would pay whatever the amount for some prices they made-up in the last minute. Overall, the food was okay, although not worth actually going there for that and I would advice the staff to keep it more professional next time with the customers, without being too friendly and displaying flirty gestures such as winking at them, as well as to inform them beforehand of the off-menu costs.
