Gypsy General Store Pie - Sebastopol

I was really impressed with this restaurant. We came in specifically for the burgers, and I was blown away. Our server, Angel, was exceptionally kind and attentive. The local beef burgers were cooked to perfection (medium rare and juicy), and all the toppings, including the bacon and tomatoes, were fresh and had the right texture. Most of the condiments (and even the ice cream!) were organic. They also accommodated my request for a side of veggies since I couldn’t eat the fries, and those were delicious too. It’s all about simple things done exceptionally well.

This is the best brunch spot in Sebastopol. There’s a wide variety of options to choose from, and the staff are accommodating with substitutions. I usually order a breakfast dish that comes with eggs, but I ask for it without eggs, and the staff has always been very kind in offering avocado or tomato slices as a replacement. The food is delicious, especially paired with a strong cup of tea. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and I really appreciate their thoughtfulness regarding dietary substitutions.

It’s all about affordability here—enjoy delicious, fresh wild salmon paired with local wines. With restaurant prices soaring these days, you won’t regret heading downtown to eat locally!

I don't typically write reviews, but this experience was particularly disappointing. I honestly don't understand how this plate justifies a $15 price. The breakfast was extremely basic, featuring only one piece of French toast and eggs that were cooked all the way through. I've usually enjoyed breakfast here, so I'm quite let down. I came in looking to treat myself to a nice meal to celebrate, and it ended up being a real letdown.

We ordered gluten-free blueberry pancakes, a side of chorizo, and a lemon ginger digestive. The service was friendly at first, but towards the end, I felt rushed, which really dampened my overall experience. Plus, the syrup was artificial! I'm not sure if I'll return.
