I guess there's not enough competition in the opposite. this pizza place is part of the hotel maxwell, perhaps where it gets the most clientel. we had a reservation, but arrived early and were asked to get a drink at the cash, or at the hotel bar next door, as they did not put us until the time of our reservation. that was good. once we sat (temporarily) we gave menus and water, but had to wait long to order and then longer to get our food. both the host and our server told us we should order what the least time drinks from the bar, salads and appetizers that do not have to go in the many. ominous sign. Nevertheless we have ordered garlic cheese bread and pizza to share. plus design beer and a cocktail. everything took a long time and was quite disappointing, except for the beer. the pizza was the speciality staircase to the sky, which should consist of prosciutto, mozzarella cheese, baby-Arugula, tomaten, parmesan cheese, romano cheese, garlic butter, extra virgin olive oil. in fact it had little of arugula. it should have been called arugula pizza, that was all. the garlic cheese was in the round the same exact thing without the arugula, and it came with two dips (made plastic, store bought pots.) service was terrible, our server had a bit of a setting that didn't fit it. I would never come back here again.
The food was great, but they were overbooked so that the table we had reserved for 6:15 was not finished until 6:45 and despite the best intentions of our overworked waitress our food was not until 7:30, which meant to rush through our meal so that we could leave around 7:45 for our show. they claimed that people take more time into consideration that they thought, but they are experienced restaurant managers and should know better how to plan their reservations. Unfortunately, my association with them is a badly unfortunately full of plastered pizza, even very tasty.
The service was fast, real and our server was humorous. the personal was about the menu and the cocktails were strong. I was on Thursday evening at 17.30 a.m. on a show. it was very quiet in the restaurant.
Horrible service. Unfriendly staff- ignored for about 10 minutes by 3 different staffers. Had reservation but told we'd need to wait or go sit in the bar then they reported me for a no-show. I will not be back.
When we arrived, it was very, very crowded, as I knew it would be on a sunny weekend at Seattle Center. When we told the maitre'd we had reservations, he said that he couldn't get the reservation up on his tablet so he would take our names and we would just have to wait. We were going to see a concert later so our time was limited, which was why I made a reservation in the first place. Once we got seated, the service was a little slow. Not to fault our waiter, he did his best considering the place was so full. I think they were slightly understaffed. The food was excellent... great pizza, lots of delicious toppings with a chewy crust. My mediterranean salad was also very good, no stinting on the chicken and other toppings. It wasn't just lettuce topped with a cherry tomato and an olive. I imagine the atmosphere would have been better on a less busy night.
