The Blue Glass - Seattle

We ordered a couple of drinks: I went with my usual Beefeater on the rocks with olives, while my boyfriend chose the Blue Glass Manhattan with Buffalo. You might think that a restaurant would struggle with making a Manhattan, but that’s not the case here, and we’re always happy with how well they do it. Plus, I love that they have Beefeater on the menu. As for the food, we always get the burrata, which never disappoints. I adore the chopped olives, though I wish they’d confit the tomatoes a bit—just a minor preference of mine. Overall, it’s a solid and delightful appetizer. I had the crab gnocchi, which is a soft Parisienne style that I haven't come across in ages. I really appreciate the effort that went into making it, and there was plenty of delicious crabmeat throughout. The butter sauce was nice, but I felt it could use a pinch more salt, and cooking the tomatoes a bit—maybe blistering them—would elevate the dish even more. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. We also ordered Brussels sprouts as a side, and they were fantastic! Always perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. I appreciate how the seasoning doesn’t overpower the vegetables; you can really savor the thoughtful vinaigrette. My boyfriend tried the chicken sandwich and loved it! Next time, he might bring his favorite mustard to customize it even further (that’s just his thing!). The sandwich was great, and I don’t know where Blue Glass gets their fries, but they are amazing! I had to resist taking some home. The restaurant is always impeccably clean, and I hope it stays that way. As an adult-only establishment (21 and up), some have complained about the lack of a children’s area, but they should familiarize themselves with Seattle’s laws. Due to space limitations, it’s understandable that they can’t accommodate the mandated separation rail between the bar and the dining area. I've noticed over the years that this restaurant genuinely tries to innovate and keep their dinner menu fresh, experimenting with new dishes. While not every dish is a hit, I truly admire their passion and effort! It’s a fantastic neighborhood spot, and I hope you take the time to go and enjoy it!

UPDATE: Went back for brunch it was ok. Seattle scramble is super cheesy. Appreciate the lots of potatoes. I had the fried chicken sandwich and the stargazer cocktail. I liked the cocktail very much not too sweet and nicely strong. The sandwich is pretty small portion, the fried chicken was pretty soggy and not very flavorful; probably will not get it again.

The food and service were outstanding. The atmosphere was inviting and tidy, and the prices were very reasonable. Thank you for such a wonderful experience; I will certainly return soon!

This restaurant had a nicely curated menu of specialty and common cocktails, a small selection of taps, and a reasonable menu of high quality American standards. I was able to get the ahi tuna sandwich made as a lettuce wrap so that I could avoid the gluten. They accommodated this without batting an eye! Candles, attentive but non-intrusive service, and generally a fun atmosphere made our visit excellent. Thank you!
