Teinei - Seattle

I recently tried the light broth at this restaurant and it was almost perfect. It was not heavy on the palate but still packed with complex flavors. I have never had ramen broth like this before, it was truly unique and in a league of its own. The broth had a beautiful yellow color and I paired it with miso, which was also excellent. The noodles were top-notch, with a great texture and fresh taste. The only downside was the topping, which was sparse and left me feeling like the bowl was missing something. It was disappointing and took away from the overall experience. Everything else about the meal was good. The service was attentive and the restaurant itself was spacious. I would have given it a perfect score if it weren't for the lacking topping.

We absolutely loved the warm hospitality and incredible Japanese cuisine we experienced at Teinei! The Japanese owners create fresh noodles on site, and it truly made a difference in the quality of our meals. We indulged in the Shoyu ramen, Mabo Ramen, and Tan Tan noodles, all with delicious broths and generous portions. We highly recommend these dishes, as well as the appetizers we enjoyed - the karaage and chicken thigh yakitori were perfectly seasoned. We also tried the curry with our ramen, and it was a perfect complement with its well-balanced sweet and savory flavors. The staff even provided special utensils for my child, making it a truly family-friendly establishment. We will definitely be returning to Teinei in the future!

Really impressed with the food and the service! We were down at Lake Union Park and on our way home we popped in for dinner and were blown away! Reasonably priced, great quality, and generous portions!

This restaurant is a fantastic local option. They offer a great variety of popular Japanese dishes. We ordered the Tiger sushi roll, takoyaki (crispy fried octopus balls), and gyoza, and all of them were excellent. I'm looking forward to returning to sample their ramen. I also enjoyed making my own fresh blood orange sour cocktail and squeezing the orange myself!
