The people who bring the food were kind, but what do they have more to say, right?! Appetizer arrived quickly! Bread was really good and warm. Bruschetta was tasteful, better tasted the time that allows you to develop in your mouth. Drinks were also good. When it came to the pasta, it was tasteful in some parts and not tasteful in others. I suppose no uniform in taste.
Hip, lively and atmospheric Italian restaurant, full of energy and dark lighting. Cool room, the use of the elongated building well, with beautiful long central table, normal seat on one side and standing on the other. Some bar-style seating also right in front. Open fiery kitchen on the back and an upper mezzanine on a short stairway. Sate at the bar and only started happy hour (5-6pm), with full menu items somewhat cheaper. Had the smoked fish bruschetta, which was great, and the meatball spaghetti, which was a generous size with good sauce, but was not the biggest fans of thick glutinous spaghetti.
Sluggish Service: Our waitress would disappear for 10 minutes at a time, not an obvious reason. Portions are huge, food is competent when spicy. Very limited wine list. At 80 decibels when we arrived, they beat Heavy Metal Rock music. After three requests, it was reduced to 77 decibels. Much better options for dinner.
Waitstaff were excellent. The food was good with choices I've not seen in other restaurants. The pasta with anchovies was a bit overly anchovy tasting for me but if you love a strong anchovy flavor, then perhaps you would like it. The chicken was very tender with a good flavor. The salad was excellent.
Lively atmosphere, and cute mood lighting. The service was slow, 25 minutes to get mains after ordering. The staff were all very kind just not incredibly attentive (maybe due to waiter shortage? . They don?t have lemonade but the pineapple daiquiri (virgin is a good substitute. The baguette with cheese and oil is well worth the $7. The pasta was good and a good consistency. The rigatoni was surprisingly spicy though. Not about the restaurant and not contributing towards the eating but worth noting ? parking around the restaurant sucks. The closest lot (Aprox. 2 blocks away is $25 for an evening and street parking is a gamble. Surrounding area is filled with sketchy people.
