Portage Bay Cafe 65th - Seattle

The temperature in the restaurant was a little too chilly. However, the food, service, and prices were all excellent.

Was able to get counter seats with a quick wait. 90 minute wait for a table. Didn’t mind at all—quick service, amazing French toast and dungeness benny. Definitely returning to try more on the menu. Wasn’t too difficult to find parking.

This restaurant was wonderful! I'd never been there before and will be back. It's much bigger inside then it looks on the outside. I was worried about not finding parking, but that wasn't a problem. There was a lot of gaity and upbeat energy inside, making for a fun experience. We had a very attentive, positive waiter. The food was great; tasty, beautifully presented and had very good proportions. It was excellent in all aspects. I'd definitely recommend. I was just reading the comments, and thought I'd say that we made reservations and were seated inside. We hadn't specified this. Glad we were since it hadn't warmed up yet outside. Also, we had a 10am reservation and it was pretty full, but when we left at 11:30am only half the restaurant had customers, making it a do-able place to drop into at that time. We went on a Sunday, so don't know if there's an after church surge then, but very do-able to get in.

I really enjoy this café, especially this location. The lamb sausage scramble special had a vibrant, fresh flavor, and the roasted potatoes were cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside while remaining moist and soft inside, and they weren't cut too small like at the other location. The pancakes were wonderfully fluffy and delicious, making for a lovely breakfast experience that was a delight to savor.
