I remember watching an episode of No Reservations where he had visited Seattle, and I remember him stopping by Piroshky Piroshky. I figured I might as well stop by while visiting and was very happy that I did. In 2017, when I visited there was a pretty steady, but moving, line at the place and I don't recall having to wait more than a few minutes to order. As for the menu, there were plenty of sweet and savory options. I got the salmon and a cardamom one. I'm going off of memory, so the menu may have changed. If you are in the area, pay them a visit. It's worth it.
It was good! It won't change your life though. Lol, I think it was overhyped to be honest. The baked goods were a little bland or mild tasting. The staff is very friendly and are more than helpful for recommendations. Great spot to try once to see what it's all about.
Piroshky Piroshky is a must stop for every visitor!I've must have had it more than 30+ times now.My favorite is the salmon piroshky. Perfectly made with great flavors. I've also had their sweet and other salty pastries as well. Take a look at their menu, and whatever you're feeling, just order it! They all taste great! If you do go during an off-peak time, their bread might not be as hot...they are still good if you put it in an oven too!Pike Place parking is difficult and definitely coin flip, but try your luck in the alleys, otherwise, park a block or two away.
Why does this place have such amazing reviews? We stood in a long line to see what the hype was about. We ordered the salmon piroshky and it was so darn bad. No seasoning. We also got the cheddar garlic roll, it had no salt, no taste. Two bites and it was all tossed in trash. I just can never recommend this place to anyone.?
We stopped because we were drawn in by the aroma of the fresh pastries! The pastry case looked amazing! Decided to try the apple cinnamon bun!Talk about packing a punch of flavor! The apples were perfectly tender but with a bit of an Al dente bite (definitely not mushy) and had a beautifully cinnamon flavor. The dough itself was moist (not under cooked at all)!We wished we had gotten a few others to try!Location is next door to the Starbucks “first store” and across from the market! Great photo Ops all around!
