Mamma Melina - Seattle

Have wanted to come here for some time and it was wonderful.

We came in wanting happy hour, but unfortunately our only for two top tables in the bar so the bartender said he would ask and see if we could have happy hour on the patio for a limited time. His manager then came back telling us we can’t have happy hour on the patio as he frantically sat us on the patio. That’s OK. We like the food here either way. Just kind of got our hopes up to get shut down. Our waitress was great, we’ve had her before, and everything else was perfect. She made a date night special and even helped celebrate my birthday with a delicious piece of Tiramisu. We Will be back. But not because of the manager, but because of our server, and the other wait staff and kitchen crew!! Thanks Mama Melina’s!!

The food was amazing. Huge portions!! We actually split an entree and still had leftovers! The draft list was broad. The service was perfect. The team approach allowed the staff to make sure we were never waiting for anything. It was a Tuesday night and we were hoping for a quieter setting, but the busyness just goes to show what a great place this is!

Prior to placing our order for food, we would like to have known that a fee would be charged to go directly to the chef. Additionally, we left a generous tip. Charge what the food and prep are worth and eliminate the extra charge to the chef. We would let our friends know about that practice.
