Kukai Ramen Izakaya - Seattle

So super! I loved the dipping noodles! It was so good, I had to order extra noodles! I live in Canada so it’s disappointing that I can’t come frequently but if I come to Seattle, the first day, I would come here. Serving, and food was excellent. Best Shop in North America!Food: 5/5

Been going to this chain of ramen restaurants for years. One of the best ramen places in Seattle. The chicken karaage is always freshly fried, screaming hot and super crunchy. Every bowl of ramen is a good hearty portion, each has a distinct flavor and the noodles always have the perfect bite texture and chew. The food arrives quickly and the service is always friendly. This restaurant is one of the few places that offers gluten free yam noodles and it's great with any of their ramen broth offerings. Come early because this place gets packed fast.

I went here early evening and got a seat for 2 pretty quick. Larger groups seemed to wait for longer times, but generally I didn't see a lot of people having to wait to be seated.The food arrived quite fast as well and the service seems good. We ordered a couple of cocktails and some Chicken Karage at first. The chicken tasted great and the cocktails were pretty decent too.We went with Tonkatsu Ramen and Spicy Chicken Tan Tan next. I think the broth for Tonkatsu Ramen was alright, I'm used to a lot richer/fattier broth when it comes to Tonkatsu, but everything else was good. The Spicy Tan Tan wasn't too spicy for us, but you can always ask for a higher spice level if you want. The food was good and the servers would check on us regularly. Overall, I enjoyed my meal here.

We always stop by at this convenient location, depending on the day and weather can get very busy but we usually get a table pretty fast. Staff is friendly and they have a good variety of dishes (including low sodium choices which I usually prefer as their standard is a bit salty on my personal opinion) Prices are competitive and portions are well served. We are regulars for sure!

Love the place, but today's pick up was just sad. Tomatoes starting to go bad, chicken was dry and probably fried a decent while ago.Food: 2/5
