Kiriba Sushi - Seattle

Though small in size this place is our Ballard-ish local go-to sushi spot. Better and much more reasonable price wise than places on ballard ave. The only thing it could possibly be lacking is a Otoro/fatty belly option. Other than that, get there early if you want a seat.Food: 5/5

Love this spot. Very cozy and homey. Quick service and great sushi. Have been here several times and always fairly priced and great fresh seafood. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for either dining in or take out. I have only had takeout and they are always nice, friendly, and quick. Parking can be tough here, however. Lot in the back has all spaces marked for the pizza place next door. I have used them to pick up food, however.

Came here on a Thursday evening. There was a long wait to be seated and the restaurant was packed. I dont think the rolls are that good. I think they were sloppily rolled to the point where the rice did not hold their shape well. It just unraveled as i picked them up. One of the eel rolls made me feel not the best after eating it. Kind of nauseous. Perhaps there were too many things going on in the roll and my body couldn't handle it or something in the food was slightly off. I could have just gone on a very busy time.The nigiri were pretty good. It is just fish and rice. The rice held together better than in the rolls which was surprising but also sad. Fish tasted fine. The highlight of the meal was the appetizer. I like fried calamari and whoever did the frying did an excellent job. This sushi place is probably average at best. I am not a picky sushi person either. Would I come back? Unsure. The service was fine.

I went by this place a million times. My cousin suggested this restaurant for dinner so was happy to finally try it. Good sushi and service!! Loved the fried oysters as well
