Hopvine Pub - Seattle

As for our experience, the bartender refused to accept my sister’s photo copy of her ID, which would have been understandable considering she was visiting and had her wallet stolen the previous day. However, it was hard to understand when he accepted another person’s photo copy of their ID right in front of everyone at the bar. He kicked us out while we were waiting for our food—twenty minutes into our visit—specifically targeting our group for ID checks. My sister was asked to leave while the other person was allowed to stay. This treatment is, in my opinion, quite unfair. We will be taking our business elsewhere and will not be returning. This experience has left a really bad impression on us.

If you like local pubs, this is perfect. They are dog friendly and the staff were nice. Definitely not celiac friendly. They have a little patio in the back and front.

I'd much rather eat at placed on 15th on Capitol Hill than on Broadway. Much nicer places... Hopvine Pub is a favorite of locals. Nothing fancy. They have great outdoor seating on the sidewalk or a patio in the back. You order at the counter, but a nice local rotating beer selection. Pizzas and sandwiches are really good. Nice and casual with good service. Love it!

The bartender could not pour a seasonal summer lager without massive pouring out massive head. When I drank it it tasted unusually bitter for a lager, and the end of the beer had a metallic aftertaste. Someone probably needs to look at the keg system and clean the beer lines.
