Cursed Oak - Seattle

We made a reservation for dinner, but when we arrived, there were no available tables. As a result, we had to find a different spot to sit. There were three of us, and we managed to find a couch, but it was quite uncomfortable for having dinner and chatting. I didn't enjoy it at all. What's the point of making a reservation if we don’t actually get a table? A couch simply isn't the same experience. Our other option was a narrow bar that was too small to accommodate our plates and drinks. I'm quite frustrated and won’t be returning for a meal.

Great food, amazing service and fantastic drink selection.

Took over 12 minutes to be greeted. Not a great way to start our before show dinner. Seemed like there was only one person working floor. Tables uneven, hodgepodge. Uncomfortable seating arrangement, very close to neighbor table.

We came just for the steak but they were out at 7 PM. Bit of a disappointment

I had high expectations for this place based on reviews but left a little disappointed. I had set up a reservation for my group and when we arrived the sign at front said Please seat yourself . I didn 't want to just grab a table if we had one reserved so I decided to hold off until someone came up. We waited for probably 2-3 minutes before someone came up to us turned out to be our waitress . She didn 't offer any comment or apology for the wait and I initiated the conversation by saying I was here for my reservation. She pointed us to our table and we seated ourselves. At the table there were two menu 's for 7 people and when we finally flagged our waitress down for a menu she said Oh, here and pulled one from the table next to us, which still had people on it. That was pretty much the theme of the night. Us waiting a long time for water, ordering, etc and no apology or comment from our server. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt because it seemed busy at first but even as the night went on and it got less busy the service didn 't get any better. One of my party stated she went to the restroom and saw our waitress and another server ? just chatting in the back. This was while we were still waiting on food and were looking to order more drinks. Even at the end of the night when she came around to collect plates and my wife said her food was great our waitress just said ok . I have rarely found someone so apathetic when it came to doing their job, especially in the service industry where a simple I 'm sorry for the delay, we 're shorthanded, etc goes a long way. I did like my food and the drinks were quite good but with so many options in the area it 's a little hard to justify coming back here.
