Betsutenjin Inc - Seattle

My friend and I ordered two prawn miso ramens. I had to say such a big disappoinment because this place used to be my favourite place. We did not like the chasu so we asked the waiter to replace it with an egg. They served the egg in whole, not bother cutting it in half like they do all the time. The eggs just tasted straight up like salt egg. The noodle, which was a different kind than the one they used to serve, did not taste like fully cooked at all.

I visited this restaurant twice, hoping for a better experience the second time around. Unfortunately, the service was very slow despite the abundance of empty seats when we arrived. We were seated in a corner near the kitchen entrance at the bar, even though there were empty tables served by other servers. The service was not friendly and seemed unhelpful when we inquired about the ramen. The food arrived slightly cold and the pork tasted old, leading to a disappointing overall experience. This was probably the worst ramen experience I've had in Seattle and possibly anywhere. The broth still had flavor, or else my rating would be even lower. The price was not justified by the poor experience. The atmosphere was decent, but it was overshadowed by the negative experience.

Pretty sure this place changed ownership within the last few months...-Tables are no longer spread apart, and are crammed together now and they extended the bar for higher occupancy (not the biggest deal, but the atmosphere was much better before).-Prices have gone up slightly (also not the biggest deal)-Ramen used to be the best, but I took a bite and was SO disappointed. This was the deal-breaker. It tasted straight up like water, almost like the broth wasn't cooked long enough. The serving sizes have gotten smaller and the great noodles they used to use are no more. This was the weakest bowl of ramen I've had.

Both quality and quantity of the ramen has been decreasing over the past 6 months. Used to be my favorite ramen spot in the city but overcooked soft-boiled eggs, smaller pork portions, and a renovation that really downgraded the atmosphere have made me decrease my rating from 5 to 3 stars.

I cook and work with food for a living and this is just straight up some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life. Me and my gf go here several times a month, and it is my favorite gatekept spot. The ramen is 95% of the time cooked to perfection but it is always absolutely delicious. Get the melon soda to complete the experience, and give the staff a nice tip because they work hard and are nice people. 100/10PS many of the reviews are from when the restaurant had small private booths to dine in (that had a curtain to close after you received your ramen), but the layout has since changed and now consists of a bar with like 15 seats, and some tables of 2 and 4.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp down from door to inside
